Digital Resources Manager

Ellie Evans

Ellie’s role is centred in the development of The Ruskin website, digitisation of the Collection and digital collection platforms, alongside projects such as VR and AR development and 3D scanning. She also assists in collection management and exhibition planning and installation.

Ellie is completing a PhD at the University of Cumbria on monitoring changes in the physical condition of free-to-enter heritage sites in Cumbria and the impact of visitor footfall at these sites. A key output of this research will be a cost-effective toolkit for heritage organisations to use to help them monitor outdoor heritage sites within limited budgets.

Ellie has previously worked in museums in Canada and the UK in front-of-house and in collections care & conservation roles, including working with the National Trust’s Beatrix Potter collection at Hill Top and with Hawkshead Grammar School Museum’s historic library and school collection.
